Peter Fonda, appearing at the Cannes Film Festival to promote a film he did on the BP oil spill,  believes the administration covered up reporting on the disaster.

“I sent an email to President Obama saying, ‘You are a f(expletive) traitor,’ using those words… ‘You’re a traitor, you allowed foreign boots on our soil telling our military — in this case the coastguard — what they can and could not do, and telling us, the citizens of the United States, what we could or could not do’.”

Afghan Detainee Dies At Guantanamo

Inayatullah Nassim, a 37-year-old Afghan, detained at Gitmo since 2007, is described in a statement by Joint Task Force Guantanamo as having been an admitted planner for al Qaeda.

“While conducting routine checks, the guards found the detainee unresponsive and not breathing,” the statement said.
