God is not happy with America, says WorldNetDaily’s Joe Farah, and he sent an earthquake to prove it.
Look, this earthquake turned out to be a warning only, without loss of life or serious property damage. But there will be a bigger one coming, as everyone should understand.
Your life can change dramatically in the blink of an eye.
I don’t know what to expect from this hurricane on its way toward the East Coast. It could be devastating for some or nothing at all…
Washington, D.C., deserves more than the wallop it got today. It needs a much bigger …

Rick Perry thinks that alcoholics can choose not to take that drink, so gays can choose not to act on their desires.
Since leaping into the GOP presidential race, Texas Gov. Rick Perry hasn’t been asked if he thinks gays are born or made. But in a little-noticed passage in his first book, “On My Honor,” a encomium on the Boy Scouts published in 2008, Perry also drew a parallel between homosexuality and alcoholism. “Even if an alcoholic is powerless over alcohol once it enters his body, he still makes a choice to drink,” he wrote. “And, even if someone is …

A just-released U.S. cable shows quite the relationship between key Senators and the Libyan dictator.
The meeting, which took place just over a year ago on Aug. 14, 2009, included other influential Americans, such as Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. Susan Collins (R-SC) and Senate Armed Services Committee staffer Richard Fontaine, the document explains.
McCain opened the meeting by characterizing Libya’s relationship with the U.S. as “excellent,” to which Liebermann added: “We never would have guessed ten years ago that we would be sitting in Tripoli, being welcomed by a son of Muammar …

Because VP Joe Biden didn’t scream at the Chinese for their one-child-per-family policy, Congressman Chris Smith of NJ believes President Obama is an enabler of forced abortions. Speaking on Laura Ingraham’s radio show, Smith said:
This is just exposing what this administration has been doing from day one. Just like the eight years of the Clinton administration, and that is to enable dictatorship, to enable forced abortion and forced sterilization. Let’s not forget that at the Nuremburg War Crimes Tribunal, forced abortion was properly construed to be a crime against humanity. It is no less a crime against humanity today …

Medicare reform is going to happen. Ezekiel Emanuel (Rahm’s brother, pictured) and Jeffrey Liebman penned an op-ed yesterday with suggestions for reforms that could preserve Medicare and cut costs substantially.
Smart cuts eliminate spending on medical tests, treatments and procedures that don’t work — or that cost significantly more than other treatments while delivering no better health outcomes. And they can be made without shortchanging patients. There are plenty of examples
The suggestions are not revolutionary to anyone who pays attention to these issues. Emanuel and Liebman also point out the difficulties with getting them done.
THE …

Former Florida governor and First Brother to Bush 43 Jeb Bush was asked by FNC’s Neil Cavuto if he thinks Republicans have gone too far in their criticism of President Obama.
“I do. I think when you start ascribing bad motives to the guy, that’s wrong. It turns off people who want solutions.
“It’s fine to criticize him, that’s politics…but just to stop there isn’t enough. You have to win with ideas, you have to win with policies. … He’s made a situation that was bad worse. He’s deserving of criticism for that. He’s not deserving of criticism for the …

Congressman Dennis Kucinish says NATO generals should be “held accountable” for bombing Libya.
“NATO’s top commanders may have acted under color of international law, but they are not exempt from international law,” Kucinich said in a statement released by his office. “If members of the Qadhafi regime are to be held accountable, NATO’s top commanders must also be held accountable through the International Criminal Court for all civilian deaths resulting from bombing. Otherwise, we will have witnessed the triumph of a new international gangsterism.”
And Kucinich asks some key questions.
“Was the United States, through participation in the overthrow of …
