Justin Bieber doesn’t like a law Senator Klobuchar is proposing. He also forgot, momentarily, that “Amy” is a girl’s name.
Bieber was asked on a radio show today about the Klobuchar-sponsored Commercial Felony Streaming Act, which would make it a felony punishable by five years to illegally stream copyrighted content online.
“That guy needs to be locked up,” Bieber said, replicating the gender confusion that he often inspires. “Whoever she is, she needs to know that I’m saying she needs to be locked up, put away in cuffs.”
Klobuchar says that is not an accurate interpretation of her bill.
“It’s …

Continuing to help Americans by using the powers of the presidency, President Obama signed two more executive orders.
One of the new Obama orders is designed to “take steps to speed up the transfer of federal research and development from the laboratory to the marketplace,” said a White House statement.
The other will create BusinessUSA,which the White House describe as “a one-stop, central online platform where small businesses and businesses of all sizes that want to begin or increase exporting can access information about available federal programs without having to waste time navigating the federal bureaucracy.”

The Cain campaign is out of control.
“We’re trying to slow down a little bit, make sure he’s rested, make sure he’s focused,” says J.D. Gordon, the campaign’s vice president for communications. The goal is to achieve a “more deliberate pace…so we don’t make those kinds of mistakes.”
Gordon says his boss has been doing as many as seven or eight events a day, “and when you do that and don’t use a Teleprompter, sometimes you can make a mistake…
If Herman Cain has to slow down a campaign for president because of “missteps,” what would he do if …

My answer to that question has always been a resounding “no.” I figured that the lack of funding and a campaign organization and his inability to answer any policy question that requires more than one sentence would catch up with him. One of my heroes, Nate Silver, (while acknowledging that he doesn’t think Cain will win) says that pundits have been too quick to dismiss Cain:
In short, while I think the conventional wisdom is probably right about Mr. Cain, it is irresponsible not to account for the distinct and practical possibility (not the mere one-in-a-thousand or …

Add this to ever-growing list of Mitt Romney’s ever-changing positions.
“My view is that we don’t know what’s causing climate change on this planet,” Romney said during a speech in Pittsburgh Thursday . . . “And the idea of spending trillions and trillions of dollars to try to reduce CO2 emissions is not the right course for us.”
But that is this week. In June, Romney was more sure of things.
Romney received criticism from conservatives in June when he said in New Hampshire that human beings were partly responsible for climate change.
“It’s important for us to reduce our …

Crockett Keller doesn’t want to teach just anyone how to use a concealed weapon, according to a radio ad.
“If you are a socialist liberal and or voted for the current campaigner in chief, please do not take this class. You have already proven that you cannot make a knowledgeable and prudent decision as under the law.”
The ad continues, going on to say,”If you are a non-Christian Arab or Muslim, I will not teach you the class with no shame; I am Crockett Keller, thank you and God bless America…
“I call it exercising my right to choose who …

Money thought to have gone missing has now been accounted for.
[It] ended up where it was supposed to be, under the control of the Iraqi government, according to a report from the office of the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction or SIGIR.

Iraq war veteran Scott Olsen, hit with a projectile by police in Oakland, is awake prior to brain surgery.

Oakland’s police chief, Howard Jordan, has promised a vigorous investigation into the incident which has provoked heavy criticism across the US, sparking solidarity marches in dozens of Occupy camps in the country.…

A Tea Party group is asking Michele Bachmann to wave the white flag.
“It’s time for Michelle [sic] Bachmann to go,” reads the first line of a statement from American Majority President Ned Ryun. His group operates in seven states, trains thousands of tea party supporters and is “liked” by over 371,000 people on Facebook…
“I think it’s pretty obvious that Michele Bachmann is about Michele Bachmann,” American Majority Executive Director Matt Robbins said…
“Let’s face it: she’s a back-bencher and has been a back bencher congressperson for years,” Robbins added. “This is not a serious presidential campaign.”…
