Kentucky Church Votes To Ban Interracial Couples

A Kentucky church has voted to ban interracial couples from joining.
Members at the Gulnare Free Will Baptist Church voted Sunday on the resolution, which says the church “does not condone interracial marriage.”
The church member who crafted the resolution, Melvin Thompson, said he is not racist and called the matter an “internal affair.”
“I am not racist. I will tell you that. I am not prejudiced against any race of people, have never in my lifetime spoke evil” about a race, said Thompson, the church’s former pastor who stepped down earlier this year. “That’s what this is being portrayed …

Speaking the the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2006, Mitt Romney said Americans shouldn’t have the choice not to buy health insurance if they can afford it.
Let me just note, there are a lot of people who say, ‘you know Governor, I don’t like this idea that people are going to be required to buy insurance. This is America. They should be free.’ Well, they are going to get free health care if they don’t buy insurance. I don’t think it is appropriate to say individuals have a choice of saying I don’t want to buy insurance even though …

“I have my own army,” proclaims New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg, explaining why he already has a good job and doesn’t need to run for president.
“I have my own army in the NYPD, which is the seventh biggest army in the world. I have my own State Department, much to Foggy Bottom’s annoyance. We have the United Nations in New York, and so we have an entree into the diplomatic world that Washington does not have,” Mayor Bloomberg said.…

If you ask Apple 4S’s Siri where to get an abortion in DC, it directs you to anti-abortion clinics. In New York, it says there are no abortion clinics. But Siri can tell where to find a host of other things:
1. Viagra.
2. Hospitals to go to if you’ve had an erection lasting for more than 5 hours.
3. Places you might be able to score marijuana.
4. Where to dump a body: in Brooklyn, it recommends a smelting plant in New Jersey.
5. The meaning of life: Siri will alternately quote from Douglas Adams (42) or Monty Python’s …

Herman Cain’s alleged lover says he’s unfit to be president.
“I’m not sure what’s going on in his head right now,” White responded on Wednesday. “But it’s unfortunate that any of this is going on.”
White was asked if she thought Cain was fit to be president. “In my opinion, no, I do not,” she said.
“I honestly do not think that he is, in my opinion, would make a good president, as far as I’m concerned. My views are different from his views, but at the end of the day this is not political — this is absolutely …

Courtesy, Ezra Klein:
Both Gingrich and Romney, for instance, supported a universal health-care plan backed by an individual mandate requiring all Americans of means to purchase health-care insurance — just as Obama does.
They have their excuses, of course. Gingrich says he supported such a plan in the 1990s only because he was working to defeat HillaryCare. But that doesn’t explain why he published an op-ed in 2007 arguing that Congress should “require anyone who earns more than $50,000 a year to purchase health insurance or post a bond.”
And Mitt has turned himself into pretzel, and won’t admit …
