Two Years Ago Republicans Wanted Two-Month Payroll Tax Holiday
If Republicans reject a two-month payroll tax break tonight, which is likely, they’ll be reversing themselves from what they favored in 2009.
Just under two years ago, House Republicans, including some of the party’s more conservative members, were arguing that a two-month payroll tax holiday would “effectively stimulate” the economy.
