In spite of a different signal from her campaign manager, Michele Bachmann says she’s staying in the race in spite of a poor showing in Iowa.

The Minnesota congresswoman is finishing last among the six candidates who contested Iowa. She told supporters Tuesday night that she is proud of those who ran her campaign.

Bachmann’s state campaign chairman in Iowa, Brad Zaun, says that while he’s disappointed with the caucus vote, it’s time to move on.

Bachmann trails her rivals with just 5 percent of the vote and nearly all precincts reporting.
