Female Soldiers Sue To Lift U.S. Combat Ban

Two female soldiers say their careers have been hampered and their Fifth Amendment equal protection rights are being violated.
Command Sgt. Maj. Jane Baldwin and Col. Ellen Harding filed the federal lawsuit Wednesday to put an end to restrictions in combat positions “solely on the basis of sex,” The Hill reported…
The litigation, filed in US District Court in Washington, names Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Army Secretary John McHugh as defendants, among others.Click here for reuse options!
