Mel Gibson’s Step-Mother Files Restraining Order
His 78-year-old step-mom fears his raging temper.
Gibson’s step-mother Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson, who married Gibson’s father Hutton Gibson in 2001, filed papers for a restraining order on the 56-year-old actor Monday.
Joye’s primary complaint, according to TMZ, is that both Gibson and his sister Maura hate her for refusing to approve controversial “Ozone” medical treatments for their father, who suffers from various ailments.
In the documents, Joye claims that Gibson has verbally assaulted her multiple times over the years, and cites specific episodes of Mad Max’s outbursts.
Last October, for instance, Gibson allegedly told Joye “not to f–k with (Hutton’s) treatments in any way,” and just this past January, he was so upset after Joye declined his cooking (due to a stomachache) that he flew into a rage.
“Mel looked at me in disgust and said that I was insulting him by not eating,” she wrote in the documents. “He then threatened that if I did not eat he would have me put outside.”
