Ann Romney commented to CBS about the VP stakes.

“We’ve been looking at that. And I’d love that option as well,” Ann told “CBS This Morning” when asked if she’d like to see a female vice presidential nominee.

“There are a lot of people that Mitt is considering right now,” Ann Romney continued.

The speculation over Romney’s vice presidential candidate has centered on men, including Sens. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Rob Portman (Ohio). But female Republicans such as Sen. Kelly Ayotte (N.H.) have been floated as sleeper contenders.
