Former Florida Republican Party Chair Says Party Actively Suppressed Black Vote

In a court deposition Jim Greer says, “I was upset because the political consultants and staff were talking about voter suppression and keeping blacks from voting.” He also says the party view was that “minority outreach programs were not fit for the Republican Party.” Greer is suing the party to collect money he says he’s owed. In his deposition he refers to Republicans as liars and “right-wing crazies.”
