The Chicago congressman has left an Arizona facility. His office says it’s “not true” that he’s being treated for alcohol or drug abuse,  “but a family friend told NBC News that he has severe clinical depression, a drinking problem or a problem with alcohol…”

A debate continues about what the pubic should be told. Democratic Congressman Steny Hoyer: “I think Congressman Jackson and his office and his family would be well advised to advise his constituents of his condition.”
