Illinois Governor Proposes Assault Weapons Ban

Governor Pat Quinn wants a state ban on assault weapons, even though he calls himself a “strong supporter” of the Second Amendment. He also would ban high-capacity ammunition magazines, and says, ”There is no place in the state of Illinois for weapons designed to rapidly fire at human targets at close range.”
