Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert:

“The state of Israel isn’t part of the elections being conducted in the United States, and it’s forbidden that it would be. We aren’t able to take a position. When people come to Jerusalem and collect [campaign] contributions against the president, then there’s a sense that the state of Israel is part of the mobilization for one candidate or against another.”
