Former New York Mayor Ed Koch Hospitalized

Mayor Koch will be 88 December 12.

In a brief statement, spokesman George Arzt said Koch was “admitted this afternoon to New York-Presbyterian Hospital with a respiratory infection. The infection is being treated with antibiotics.”

Koch was treated at the same hospital in September for anemia. It’s also where he underwent quadruple bypass surgery three years ago.
