President Obama’s Limo Will Now Sport D.C. ‘Taxation Without Representation’ License Plates
The District of Columbia began issuing the plates a few years ago to protest the fact that they have no voting representation in Congress. Now, the POTUSMobile will carry the tags:
Starting inaguration weekend, President Obama’s limo will sport Washington, D.C.’s “Taxation Without Represenation” license plates, the White House confirmed to TPM Tuesday. The new plates will remain for the duration of Obama’s second term.
“President Obama has lived in the District now for four years, and has seen first-hand how patently unfair it is for working families in D.C. to work hard, raise children and pay taxes, without having a vote in Congress,” White House spokesman Keith Maley said in a statement.
