Secret Service Dog Dies In Service To Vice President Biden

The Belgian Malinois fell from the roof of a parking garage deck next to the hotel where Vice President Biden was speaking in New Orleans at a fundraiser for Senator Mary Landrieu.

Secret Service agents and police rushed the black and brown Belgian shepherd to a Metairie veterinary hospital in a motorcade to help the injured animal.

Veterinarians were unable to revive the dog.

Secret Service spokesman Max Milien told CNN the death was a ‘tragic accident.’
