The Republic of Texas was located in Overton. The headquarters burned down in 2005. The most current book is a maifesto called Texan Arise, written in 2004. I have a old friend that used to sell tourist from Chicago, Jersey and New York “Republic of Texas” passports.

There are a lot of legends and mythos about the Lone Star State. Some true, others not. This is a place that values distinctiveness and individuality, along with a hefty helping of sass.

It’s the same goal of liberals since the 60’s. Redistribution of wealth through favored vehiciles of federal agenices, non-profits and labor unions. They are always ready with a new excuse why we need to do this. Every problem that’s ever existed is solved by massive taxes and government regulations.
