I should have said Carter ‘essentially’ said that “an overwhelming portion of” American people —they are the animous ones—are racist–they are the ones that recognize that he is a black man.

I don’t know. Did someone say there was no racism among opponents of Obama? I am not a racist (especially since I am of mixed heritage) but I bet there probably are racists that are opponents of Obama. And I bet there are racists that support and probably voted for Obama. If you believe what former President Carter said, that “an overwhelming majority of (US citizens) are racists”–didn’t an overwhelming majority of US citizens vote for President Obama? Maybe they, or someone else is just confused.
