Bryan Fischer Of American Family Association Says "No More Muslims In The US Military"
November 9th, 2009 at 8:07 pmAs a Christian, I am deeply offended that Mr. Fischer would suggest that the American military ban those who are of the Muslim faith from serving our country. Islamic extremism is an enemy of democracy not peace loving Muslims. We have millions of Muslims who live in our country who love America, champion individual liberty, and given their lives in service to the USA.
I would call on all moderate, peace loving, Muslims to condemn any and all terrorist acts done in the name of Islam. Ours is a country that respects freedom of religion and there should be no reason why anyone who loves our country and is committed to defending the Constitution and freedom should be denied service in the military.
Glad I left the Republican party. This is one of the many reasons why.

Especially since she resigned from being governor of Alaska. She didn’t even serve out a full term. But then again, maybe she decided to leave and see what was over in Russia.

May 8th, 2009 at 10:09 pmThe Obama tax increases only apply to those who make over $250,000 per year. Even then, he only increases them to the levels they were during the Clinton years. I will not defend Clinton’s moral failings, but look at the facts. By the end of the Clinton years, unemployment was low and the economy was booming. I hope that Obama can fix the mess that Bush made in the economy.

May 8th, 2009 at 10:05 pmJust to let JaredfromTexas know that I am not a liberal Democrat. My political views are much closer to Bob Casey of PA than to John Kerry. I am pro-life, but do feel that there should be exceptions for rape, incest, or when the life of the mother is endangered.
I lean Democratic because in the words of Tony Campolo “The reason why I buy into the Democratic Party more than the Republican Party is because there are over 2,000 verses of Scripture that deal with responding to the needs of the poor.”
So true. The Republican party caters to the wealthiest of Americans while leaving those in poverty behind.
I value diversity of opinion and am not threatened by those who do not agree with me. The typical Republican response to someone who disagrees with them is to yell “Liberal! Liberal!” Until the Republican party can come up with real solutions to the problems that face our nation, they will be a regional party. They need new ideas.

Instead of being the party of “No” they need to present new ideas. We tried Bush’s policies for 8 years and they did not work.

What is he afraid of if he doesn’t think that gays are child molestors? Does he think that they will work their gay voodoo and turn his kids gay? It is one thing to have an opinion that the gay lifestyle is not moral according to a Biblical world view, it is quite another to say that you will not allow your children around them.

Read the founding documents. Read the Constitution. Read up on your U.S. History. Our country is not a Christian nation and never has been. We have always been a nation that has respected freedom of religion and has embraced a Judeo-Christian philosophy.
