How do you explain the fact that the Hawaii Dept. of Health (yes, the Hawaii Dept. of Health, not the parents) published Obama’s birth announcement in two Honolulu newspapers back in 1961?
I’d love to hear your explanation of how, or why, that could happen if he wasn’t born in a Hawaiian hospital…
I’d always pictured the group to destroy America to look a little more villainous. That group looks like the people standing in line in front of me at Starbucks.
FOX should give Cheney his own variety show, where he can tell some jokes and sing and dance in little skits and stuff. I’d watch it, even as a liberal.
Of course FOX was there. The video is still on foxnews.com’s main Entertainment page, taped during Greta Van Susteren’s show. The biggest difference in the news coverage was FOX did not report how many protesters there were–for other news outlets, it was a big part of the story.
I’ve noticed on many political boards that the folks who say that Obama is spending his time on dates with Michelle, pride declarations, and other unimportant things rather than focusing on the economy, also happen to be the same folks who claim that Obama is turning this country into a socialist mess, and government should stay out the way and let the economy take its course.
Thats from the .pdf of data tables from the cited study on journalism.org. So, as I see it, FOX does beat CBS for neutrality, but not the other networks, and doesn’t come close to PBS. Fox, as expected, is the only one who’s “non-neutral” stories slant Republican.
I’m not disagreeing with the media slanting liberal, just clarifying the data in the study.
I can’t believe I come out of lurking to discuss implants.
From what I read, the implants were relatively recent. The reason it was a story was that the California Miss USA pageant paid for the procedure. I believe pictures seen here are pre-implant. Check out a recent picture of her (http://blog.cleveland.com/ent_impact_people/2009/05/medium_miss-swisuit.jpg) and note the difference.
Oh for pete’s sake. I haven’t posted in awhile, and I guess links are no longer allowed. Sorry about that. Search “fall of the athenian republic” on snopes if interested.
The “study” he sites was from the 2000 election (not 2008), and it was fabricated. The “author” from Hamline University claims to have had no involvement.
No where near in numbers the pumas and hillary supporters are.
Let’s see, high-profile Clinton supporters who have publicly endorsed McCain. Well, you have Lynn Forester de Rothschild, and, um, hmm. I can’t think of any others.
Philip J. Berg, Esquire, has previously tried to disbar Supreme Court Justices Thomas, O’ Connor, and Scalia (that didn’t pan out for him). He has tried to sue the Bush administration for covering up the 9/11 attacks (that hasn’t worked). He has also been fined for “a laundry list of unethical actions,” including fraudulent claims “utterly barren of any scintilla of legal principles.”
Brian, are you sure of that quote? You could be right, but everything I’ve seen contradicts that. Reid is no fan of McCain:
“If we lose progress on this because of one person, that’s John McCain,” Reid said. “He’s standing in the way.” At the same time, Reid downplayed McCain’s past contributions, noting that he is “one of 100” and has offered more than one position this week on the financial plan.”
According to this screenshot that appeared in on the Washington Post’s site, McCain has declared victory in the debates already. The ad mistakenly appeared on the Wall Street Journal’s website:
I agree with William, Um Cara, and others who don’t really see anything wrong with Cameron’s choice. I don’t think Mr. Colmes was doing his best work posting this thread, or even the Palin at church thread, which also is also personal business. Now if Palin were pushing for legislation based on her beliefs, then it’s no longer just her business, and I’d probably have something to say about it.
Um Cara, may I ask how you format your posts? Is it just em, strong, and blockquote, like html? I looked for a wordpress tutorial but couldn’t really come up with a good answer.
“Good for Senator John McCain for being a leader and putting his country over his campaign again! I have just one question for all you liberals…what if Obama decided to do this first? AND NEWSFLASH: Senators McCain and Obama are agreeing on this bailout plan! They are to issue a joint statement. I bet that is eating you up!”
You mean the bailout plan that Obama proposed to McCain six hours before McCain’s statement? That’s great!
“The Obama campaign said in a statement that Obama had called McCain around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to propose that they issue a joint statement in support of a package to help fix the economy as soon as possible. McCain called back six hours later and agreed to the idea of the statement, the Obama campaign said. McCain’s statement was issued to the media a few minutes later.”
Of course, now the McCain campaign is claiming that Obama did call at 8:30, but they didn’t get the message to McCain, who knew nothing about the Obama proposal.

Texas Congressman: "Greatest Threat To America Is Liberal Media Bias"
June 5th, 2009 at 4:56 pmTo be accurate, the data is

ABC 41% neutral on dems

CBS 39% neutral on dems
