On Tuesday's Radio Show...

This man invoking Jesus to speak hate and intolerance should hang his head in shame.

Jesus was a radical. That man needs to quiet his heart and ask some big questions of himself.

On Tuesday's Radio Show...

Your a bigot. You hate people because of who they are.

Your ideals are flawed and backwards.

I feel little reason to engage someone holding these positions except to tell you that hate is breeding within you and you must purge it.

On Tuesday's Radio Show...

Don’t let these wing-nut, hateful callers get to you, Alan.

Bunch of freak-jobs!

California Supreme Court Set To Decide On Prop 8

Hopefully justice will be done.

These anti-Gay Rights people disgust me. I can only hope the Supreme Court will side with justice and tyranny.

Liberty U Drops Democratic Club; Says Party Violates Christian Morality

Seems obvious to me that Liberty University has nothing to do with liberty or justice or freedom.

Just a school of one-sided thought and declarations of morality from their human offices of arrogance and pride.

If Democrats are not allowed on the campus groups then perhaps I’ll suggest the same for my school.

Young Republican groups don’t enhance the academics of any college. They should also be forced off-campus.

Same logic … somehow I don’t see any but these self righteous types trying this horse-hockey.

Liberaland Readers Speak!

I just read DVDROWE’s contribution.

Th author of this piece (Daniel J. Flynn) is clearly detached from the Gay Rights Movement in every possible way.

His bias against gays is most clear in this line:

“He understood his movement better than his movement did. When the facts didn’t fit the script, both Milk and his present-day admirers adjusted the facts.”

All of facts and reasoning were sound up until this point, in his closing. I don’t agree with his interpretation of facts but up until this little slander-line he was running a good set of facts and assertions.

Then Flynn decides that he understands the Gay Rights Movement and declares that it is entirely founded on changing the story to fit the situation in the goal of simple political gain.

He can claim that people ‘adjusted the facts’ as I believe he is doing himself … but to say that the movement for social equality and justice under the law is a partisan agenda machine … well frankly … Daniel Flynn is frightened of freedom for all Americans.

Frightened to death of a world without sexual repression and without repressive standards set on society.

Liberaland Readers Speak!

Okay…

To anyone confused:

This is partisanship is it’s best, right here.

All the other guys are evil and sick and bad dudes.

We, on the other hand, are godly and perfect and pure.

I could, and usually do, just reverse all these blathering points back at Jerry:

“No, your the party of social injustice … etc.”

Rather than all that noise … just go look up the facts people.

Not one person was azzaulted at a DNC convention for protest in past election but Amy Goodman (a true American) was arrested for practicing her freedom of speech at the RNC convention.

The facts are facts.

I personally believe the Republican power structure, not any one specific Republican, is a partisan structure designed to keep out cogent arguments from the left.

But hey … I am a liberal. That makes me biased!

Just like you, Jerry.

Liberaland Readers Speak!

“And thanks, Eric, for restraining yourself”

You are very welcome! I could seriously clog any thread with all my nonsense…

This post you guys linked up now has no spelling errors or typos! Yay!

Liberaland Readers Speak!

Here is where we agree, Daddio.

I would have liked it if Obama had named a few partisan leftys on the radio or in the media in general.

Like most of the liberal persuasion I think the conservatives need to learn this lesson more than the liberals but there is no doubt in my mind that liberals also exhibit this kind of narrow, one-sided view of politics and debate.

Dick Cheney: Omissions, Exaggerations And Misstatements"

Average James –

I am sorry to hear that. I really am.

I know people close to me who have been taken away because of a completely legal and socially acceptable poison called alcohol.

I believe she is at peace. I don’t know what you believe but I just wanted to tell you that death is only the beginning of a much larger journey.

I guess you’ll have to take me at my word on this.

Just don’t fall into despair. Morn her but don’t ever stop pushing forward.

I’ll say a prayer for her.

Dick Cheney: Omissions, Exaggerations And Misstatements"

Yup.

And if you grab someone off the street who never heard of al Qaeda or the Taliban and starting torturing them they would explain it you how they run the Taliban from their cell phone and laptop. They would tell you they just saw Osama bin Laden and they have his GPS location … all you have to do is stop torturing them and they’ll give it to you.

“Cheney takes great care not to use the word torture. That’s because he doesn’t consider some forms of torture such as waterboarding to actually be torture”

Yes well … whatever Cheney ‘considers’ to be torture is actually totally irrelevant.

Waterboarding is cruel and unusual punishment and the ‘views’ of a former-VP on this are not important nor a factor in his hopeful sentencing.

The fact remains that torture was committed under the Bush regime and Cheney was the spearhead of this torture program.

The GOP degrades it’s place in history and in American politics by standing up for communist torture tactics and frankly I’m waiting for a return in the days of segregation and slavery under this style of mentality.

This is disgusting, unamerican, ungodly and purely evil thinking that spawned this ‘enhanced interrogation program.’

Fear is no excuse. The guilty pay. There can be no justice in an America that tortures. There can be no justice in a nation that allows Cheney to avoid trial.

Dick Cheney: Omissions, Exaggerations And Misstatements"

“I guess if you are liberal, then the only opinion you dismiss as not valid is those of conservatives, or in this case Cheney.”

It’s very easy to say that, Daddio. But you forget that many liberals do indeed call conservative shows and get hung up on, talked down to and screamed at for simply sharing another perspective on Obama or border policy or whatever the issue is.

Both sides do this. It’s called partisanship.

If you hate it so much then start destroying it in yourself first and then move on to the rest of the world.

Rest assured, if you are trying to bring people together and not apart you will find a thousand strong of your fellow Americans standing behind you.

You only want to point the finger alone and never take responsibility for anything we will abandon just as quickly.

Dick Cheney: Omissions, Exaggerations And Misstatements"

“you pit Mr. Cheney’s opinion against the opinions of others, then declare Cheney’s opinions to be wrong because they differ with the others’ opinions. How does this make Cheney wrong?”

Well how else is one to determine the validity of an argument?

I am open to ideas on this one.

I can’t think of any way except to compare statements made to logical deduction, fact comparison and review of other arguments from people of similar positions and credibility.

Personally, I think there isn’t, and never was, any argument that is in favor or torture that isn’t demonic, Satanic and ungodly.

But that’s just a filthy liberal’s opinion. As I recall we all decided to hate each other and destroy this nation in endless internal conflict instead of being a glorious nation of free peoples.

Dick Cheney: Omissions, Exaggerations And Misstatements"

“A top-secret 2004 CIA inspector general’s investigation found no conclusive proof that information gained from aggressive interrogations helped thwart any “specific imminent attacks,” according to one of four top-secret Bush-era memos that the Justice Department released last month”

How much evidence do Cheneyites need to realize they support communist torture tactics?

Do I have to sit and watch the Christopher Hitchens video done by Vanity Fair where he gets waterboarded with every neo-con in existence?

DO I NEED TO WATERBOARD THEM MYSELF AFTER THEY REFUTE THE VIDEO?

By the way, Liberaland.

You can save yourself a lot of time on the news-web if you just go to the Daily Beast and use their Cheat Sheet.

This is a good way to filter out all the other stuff from the politics and news of the day.

“I’m taking a short breather, so consider this your chance to post links to your favorite stories in the comment section below. Later in the weekend I’ll feature the best of your suggestions”

You have opened the pandora’s box here Alan.

I could clog this post with linkage that I say is ever-so important.

Restraint is in order perhaps…

Your Turn

I like all the conservatives, libertarians and liberals the internet has to offer me.

Doesn’t mean I have to agree with them.

But by all means, let’s hash it out.

Your Turn

“Rest My Chemistry” By Interpol

Music video directed by Blip Boutique featuring visual programming by Aaron Koblin with editing and visual effects by Roger Scott

Your Turn

He kind of does already. The volume on the callers is way lower than Alan’s mic. When they talk over him, on podcast at least, you can’t even hear them.

Personally, I would use anyone who did that without apology and smear them across the airwaves as a partisan, free-hating and undemocratic poop-stirrer.

But Alan is quite nice and just makes his point right over their false-facts and enraged screaming.

I think conservatives do this in their everyday lives. They start to hear a little American History or American Civics and they realize somewhere in their mind that they are about to be proven wrong … so they start talking realy fast and loud so nobody else can hear anything but their ‘Lim-bot-droppings.’

Your Turn

Do like living in country where race issues are ignored and only used to divide us by slander-artists like Rush Limbaugh?

Dueling Speeches

Yo, Pino. You can’t even follow the basic outlines of the Constitution and insult our national standards of ethics, morality and law by what you stand for.

I hope you realize this.

“Right. That was Saddam. Wouldn’t let ‘em in…”

Man o’ man! You watch so much FOX News and right wing radio that I question if you even know that you live in America and not in Conservative Nation.

Give me a break. You know that’s false or you don’t research any facts that Hannity spews down on you.

Why do you think we liberals call him a LIAR?

We don’t dress it up with calling him a partisan because he lies to your face like a shameless bastard.

The inspectors were let in and were doing their job and then Bush called them up and was like:

“Get outta there.”

And they went:

“Why?”

“We’re invading.”

“But we need more time to figure out where the WMDs are and were they went if they are not here.”

“Don’t care. We are going in. Get out of the country or get caught up in bombing runs.”

I guess following the news and tryin to semi-civil with people is just too much to ask of a conservative American. It’s too hard to be a man and admit when your wrong for most of you and thus we get these RUNNING LIES like you just repeated and then there is that BS STORY about YELLOWCAKE that morons still bring up after it has been debunked by every news agency in the world except hate-radio (if you could call that Lie Box any kind of news.)

Dueling Speeches

You confuse me, Pierre.

How do you purpose that Cheney was to ‘wipe out’ the Taliban? Is there something your not telling us?

It sounds to me like you are advocating the use of WMDs in warfare or something else even worse than what we already have done.

Cheney and his policies wouldn’t have done anything but caused another 9/11 if they let him loose on managing the wars. I seem to recall a complete and utter failure in BOTH wars until Gen. Petraeus came in. And he is one military man that I am a real big fan of. Political solutions over these ‘kill all the rag-heads’ solutions we hear from Bush People.

There is no ‘war on terror,’ there is a struggle against Arabic Extremism and frankly it is drummed up to keep us forever involved in the Mideast.

Why do I even bother? As soon as I talk the straight dope everyone on both sides starts going:

“Where’s your credibility? Who’s your editor?”

Lame. All I can comment on within the confines of the Fallacy of Experts is video-games, college and women.

Guess I should just ignore my freedom of speech and be a robot … guess I should listen to the fascists who want we to ‘just go away.’

Point is … we failed in Afghanistan because of Iraq. The Bush policy to invade Iraq cost us our only real chance to strike a solid blow against American-aimed Arabic Extremism. Now it’s all bad.

-

They hate us because we are over there, by the way. That’s always where this is going.

They hate that we created the Taliban. They hate that we continue to find new reasons to be on their soil and within their lands. Just get away from FOX News a little and you’ll finally hear an account from someone on the ground instead of all these ‘dog & pony show’ journalists giving you the propaganda of the day.
