I understand that Alfred E. Newman has visited the White House 15 times this year. No, this is a different Alfred E. Newman. He is an advocate of free everything for everybody. Just tax the rich a little more. He will be running for congress as a Democrat next year from the state of Insanity.
When is doing nothing and ignoring all international problems around you worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize? Since Obama became president the world is a more dangerous place as Iran races toward a nuclear weapon, and Obama lacks the clout or diplomatic skills to do anything about it. The world ignores Obama’s request for help in Iraq and Afghanistan, and while Obama remains indecisive about his Afghanistan policy and his chief general’s request for more troops, still more American soldiers are dying. North Korea is advancing its nuclear weapons efforts. Pakistan remains a hub for terrorist activity. Russia and China block every U.S. international proposal. Weak countries, such as Venezuela, Cuba, and Mexico, are lecturing the U.S. about economics and diplomacy. The U.S. currency continues to shrink in value as its international trade deficit and the federal government deficit skyrocket, along with the nation’s unemployment. And for this Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize?
I wish I had written all this myself, but it came from a man named Gary Clouser. I would like to ask a question, though. I understand that the nominations for this prize ended on Feb. 1. That means Obama was president at most 11 days when he was nominated. Can anyone tell me what he did in those 11 days that deserved this once prestigious prize? Had he already begun apologizing for America by then?
No, President Bush may not have been called “traitor” perhaps, but how about: “Hitler, nazi, idiot, Neanderthal, fascist, Persident-select, draft dodger.” His biggest failing was that he never defended himself against all the false charges.
If Sarah Palin is so supremely and totally unqualified to be President and such a joke, why is the left so incredibly afraid of her? Why are they (you) working so hard to destroy her? They (you) should be happy that she is in the news at all if she is such a joke. She should be the answer to all of your dreams of eternal government by the left. Can it be that she is very popular and influential and you are really very afraid of her?
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, also works in the White House as an advisor to the President on health care reform and has made the following statements:
“Services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed”.
“The biggest problem with medicine today is the Hippocratic Oath.”
In an article titled “Complete Lives System” he states: that he would “produce a priority curve on which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most substantial care, whereas the youngest and oldest people get care that is attenuated.” He goes on to say that this may be justified by public opinion, since “broad consensus favors adolescents over very young infants and young adults over very elderly people.” He goes on to explain cold-bloodedly why the “death of a 20-year-old woman is intuitively worse than that of a 2-month-old girl.” Each person’s life is not equally important, he states bluntly, and in his view, not sacred. The term “death panel” certainly comes to mind.
Ezekiel J. Emanuel, big brother to White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, is quickly emerging as a key player in President Obama’s health-care overhaul, the biggest push to expand coverage in two decades.
He has written: “services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed”. He goes on to give examples illustrating these two concepts: “not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia”,
Emanuel elaborated a method for selecting which sections of the population should be denied health care first, in an article entitled, “Principles for Allocation of Scarce Medical Interventions.”
He describes in the article his method of “Complete Lives System”: It “produces a priority curve on which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most substantial chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get chances that are attenuated (ie:denied).” This may be justified by public opinion, since “broad consensus favors adolescents over very young infants, and young adults over very elderly people.” He goes on to explain cold-bloodedly why the “death of a 20-year-old woman is intuitively worse than that of a 2-month-old girl,”
Each person’s life is not equally important, he states bluntly, and in his view, not sacred.
He wrote in 1996, that health services should not be guaranteed to persons “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens,” specifically mentioning patients with dementia.
You don’t have to call this man a part of a “death panel” but he sounds very scary to me. Is this what we have to look forward to?
This is a switch. Up until now, everything that goes wrong in the world has been Bush’s fault. Now someone is blaming something on Obama?? I don’t think this will last too long. They will go back to blaming Bush shortly.
You have to love how some on the left have bent over backwards (or is that forwards) to defend their fallen brethren. Was it all that long ago that we heard that “It’s only sex” when DEMOCRATIC President Clinton lied about his affair with Monica.
Have we forgotten about DEMOCRATIC NJ Governor Jim McGreevy confessing to a homosexual affair.
And of course the DEMOCRAT John Edwards admitting to an affair which produced a child. I understand he is now attempting to restore his political career.
Will we (left and right) ever be willing to admit that making mistakes and sinning is a nonpartisan problem?
Paygo means Congress cannot spend a dollar unless it cuts a dollar??? Alan, I did not realize you were such a comedian. All Paygo does is give Congress one more excuse to raise taxes. Congress DOES NOT cut spending!!!
A few years ago a “newsman” attempted a lame joke by saying: “When rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it.” The next day he was fired and has never been heard from since. Do you suppose anything like that will happen to Letterman? I’ll hold by breath.
Aside from that, why are left-wingers so terrified of Sarah Palin? Why does she bring out such hatred? Is everyone afraid she might become a serious political force and must be destroyed before this happens?
I’m certainly glad we Dems never found such petty things to criticize Pres Bush about. We only found serious things to criticize him about – like breathing.
You are absolutely right, Alan. The Republican should treat Ms. Sotomayor with as much respect and consideration as the Democrats showed to Robert Bork, Migel Estrada and Clarence Thomas.
Oh, You Mean THAT Bill Ayers And Jeremiah Wright!

I repeat: Every mainstream pro-life organization has unequivocally condemned the killing.
Somehow this never reached the news.
