What a horrific tragedy. Makes me wonder how on earth military families can even begin to cope with it all. A person who is supposedly there to help & support them…goes whacko. More evidence that we need to get out of this insane mess.
Maybe the Dems are finally realizing that without the inclusion of the public option in healthcare reform…there is slim to no chance of their being re-elected?
Or maybe 61% (probably higher than that) of the American people do matter? Hoping so!
With the jobless rates soaring (and probably much higher than reported) how can we restore this economy with health (& other) insurance rates skyrocketing?
When/if unemployment/underemployment rates reach 20%..even the recession-proof healthcare industry will deteriorate…do we wait until hospitals start closing their doors to fix this?

What a great way to start kids on the road to acting out their dreams of being from another planet! (& Yeah maybe we need to start early to get them into the “mean-spirited distasteful” camps so they won’t feel left behind even if they are). After all it’s America…. I hope they wear them to school in droves. Kids don’t have enough things to get them in trouble. Maybe the school boards will give out awards for classes that have the most kids dressed in these?
Of course there really should be a variety of colors offered. We can’t all clain to be from the same planet now can we?
I always felt like an imprisoned alien in school (& maybe still?) so I’m thrilled for these great new outfits!

People are not properties like cars to be managed as if we are replaceable. The whole notion of healthcare “insurance” is an insensitive assault on human beings which can only lead to rationing (as it is already) and a payment plan that favors the wealthiest.
Maybe we could make a deal with Rio? We give them the Chicago Board of Trade…we get the Olympics. The Board of Trade is full of a lot more crooked games.
As for the OTL folks in this video…they obviously listen to too much Rush/Hannity/Beck pea-brain propaganda…but maybe just maybe that’s being too generous. A room of trained conservative seals applauding (barking in harmony?)under the banner “Americans for Prosperity” reminds me of many nights when Repubs have the floor in Congress. Always a dull moment.

They dish it out all over the country without any consideration of how their bs impacts the hard working, long suffering folk that built & paid for the healthcare system and now are being left out (kicked out). We paid for the education of healthcare workers and the buildings they occupy but if you go in without the big bucks now demanded..well..like Grayson said…figure you can “die early.” So sick of their ruthless, cold-hearted elitism!!!

Her comment does damage to the years of women’s movement struggles to define rape/sexual assault in terms that aggressive/control freak males can understand. “No” MEANS NO! It was rape, no question about it…and a crime against all women…under age or not. Please, Whoopi, if you can’t say something that is supportive of progress for women please don’t say something so retrogressive!!!
As for Polanski, let the Europeans keep him! After all these years what’s the point of bringing him back to the US? It sickens me when people praise him for his artistry. He’s a sociopath that learned how to make movies.
