You can have no simple pleasures in NY unless you pay a huge tax and the government reaps the benefits. Of course not too many people are going to say anything because this tax won’t effect them. Not to mention they won’t be able to traffic this tax. Strippers do so many private parties and it’s under the table.

I’ve never been happy with the approach that has been taken in the past and it’s great to hear a common sense approach has emerged. Somehow I think you’ll find the teacher’s unions will be an issue though. See the issue isn’t that all in the union feel this would be a bad idea. It’s the grievances that will arise from teacher’s wh claim that they take on other jobs during the summers to compensate pay. This is going to become a money issue again. Mark my words on this.

I bet governor Patterson is only all for health and beauty taxes, haircut taxes, and taxing gym memberships because he doesn’t have to look at the ugly fat a$$ people all day like the rest of us! You do read your blog comments! Willy and I were just talking about this. I’ve never been happy with the approach that has been taken in the past and it’s great to hear a common sense approach has emerged. Somehow I think you’ll find the teacher’s unions will be an issue though. See the issue isn’t that all in the union feel this would be a bad idea. It’s the grievances that will arise from teacher’s wh claim that they take on other jobs during the summers to compensate pay. This is going to become a money issue again. Mark my words on this.
But I think that this is terrific for the country. See Willy. a common sense approach that doesn’t involve throwing money at the problem (yet).
