Guess what. I’m 100% certain I’m more liberal than anyone you know and I’VE got an American flag in front of my house and have NEVER criticized anyone for having one on their car or anywhere. Nor do I know any liberals who would.
What on earth could Pat Boone possibly contribute to the health care debate?
THIS is what’s wrong with media today. We make celebrities out of jackasses like Joe the Not Actually a Plumber and let celebrities who are already jackasses who bring nothing to the table open their big mouths.
You’re exactly right. Which is why the Democrats aren’t doing that.
Kennedy dedicated a 40-year political career to helping our less-fortunate American citizens. He was especially passionate about providing affordable health care to Americans as a fundamental right. It is only fitting and proper that this long-overdue legislation be named in his honor.
If you have a problem with that, please remember to direct your ire at the Reagan Legacy Project as well.
Like the Republican party wouldn’t do precisely the same thing if one of their own passed away during the development of legislation he or she was passionate about…
Gimme a break. Limbaugh is a chucklehead tool. These asinine pronouncements of yours are NOT things to be proud of, Rush.
Yeeaahhhh, daddio, you fail at the law. This comment is not remotely out of bounds, as many legal experts have said:
“She’s not wrong,” said Jeffrey Segal, a professor of law at Stony Brook University. “Of course they make policy… You can, on one hand, say Congress makes the law and the court interprets it. But on the other hand the law is not always clear. And in clarifying those laws, the courts make policy.”
and
Eric Freedman, a law professor at Hofstra University. “She was saying something which is the absolute judicial equivalent of saying the sun rises each morning. It is not a controversial proposition at all that the overwhelming quantity of law making work in the federal system is done by the court of appeals… It is thoroughly uncontroversial to anyone other than a determined demagogue.”
Sorry, I should have specified. I was asking guido.
In my experience, there is one common definition of judicial activism, and that is when a judge makes a decision that is in opposition to existing law, ostensibly in an effort to countermand that law.
It doesn’t happen as often as people like to complain about. But when it does happen, it’s usually the conservative judges who do it.

Representative Joe Wilson Shouts "You Lie" At President Obama (UPDATED)
September 10th, 2009 at 1:20 pm“While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable.”
What Obama said is a FACT. There is NO free coverage for illegal immigrants in any version of the bill. How can you “disagree” with a FACT?
You are entitled to your own opinion, Rep. Wilson, not your own reality.
