Gee, that reminds me of the house & senate voting for the package that no one read or understood. Duh!
Not wanting a debate here on this, Jared, been a Catholic all of my life, but recent news reports: “the official Church’s position remains a focus of controversy and is fairly non-specific, stating only that faith and scientific findings regarding human evolution are not in conflict, though humans are regarded as a “special creation”, and that the existence of God is required to explain the spiritual component of human origins.”
“NO DOUBT people were offended…but they were offended because they chose to see something in the cartoon that wasn’t there…AT THE AUTHOR’S OWN ADMISSION.” AND “Why do they want him fired? What did he do wrong? There is no reference to any race there. The author of the bill was Nancy Pelosi.”
When I heard about the *racist* image on the radio, I immediately logged on to view the “offensive” cartoon. But when I looked at it, my immediate reaction was simply confusion. Obama was not the author of the $timulu$ pkg, he didn’t even read it, the chimp went crazy in CT, he was shot dead because he went psycho, the monkey did not have big ears, so I deemed it not racist. and anyway… didn’t we ALL -ie HUMAN RACE -evolve from monkeys anyway?
You are twisting facts, Alan… most conservatives & maybe a few liberals simply believed the promise of OBAMA’S “TRANSPARENCY”, & RIGHTFULLY & INTELLIGENTLY thought that the TRILLION $ $timulu$ Bill should at least be READ & COMPREHENDED in it’s entirety before it was made law.
I’m grateful that SOME of our legislators want to read it before taking the money blindly. The LEMMING MENTALITY so many of you are demonstrating scares me to death!!
Don’t you read the fine print on your credit card contract BEFORE you sign it? I don’t care how horrible or fantastic it is, we ALL, but especially the House & Senate should have at least READ THE FREAKING thing. A N Y O N E who believes that wasn’t necessary to do BEFORE passing proves that they don’t deserve to be voted into office ever again, I don’t care what party they serve. I fear that the way this BILL was passed just proves to the entire world that politicians are mostly IDIOTS.
