Gabe Berman is a native New Yorker who settled in South Florida after graduating from the University of Miami. An epiphany, a passion, and a trail of breadcrumbs led him out of Corporate America and into the career he was meant for. After eight years of writing columns for the Miami Herald, his book - Live Like A Fruit Fly - was published by HCI Books and subsequently endorsed by Deepak Chopra. His second book, The Complete B.S. Free and Totally Tested Writing Guide, helps artists find their voice and his latest work, Where Is God When Our Loved Ones Get Sick?, uncovers the answer to this haunting question.

Is Kim Kardashian’s Ass Too Big?

Life Sucks. Which seems silly to say as I sit here at the kitchen table, drinking coffee, listening to a beautiful Seu Jorge song, while watching roses gently sway in the backyard. But my friend’s mom died this morning. Parkinson’s. The doctors today told another friend of mine that her dad has one or two […]

Upon seeing an image of Earth taken from the edge of our solar system, Carl Sagan wrote: From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of particular interest. But for us, it’s different. Consider again that dot. That’s here, that’s home, that’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you […]

My mom just said to me, “What happened to you at the party? It’s like you disappeared.” It’s true. I escaped to the basement and watched Jack Reacher for the fiftieth time while everyone else enjoyed the bubbling birthday festivities spreading throughout the house. Two people, at two separate times, cornered me to unload their […]

by Gabe Berman If I see one more posting that even comes close to, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people,” I’m packing up my pics and moving back to MySpace. Here’s last night’s debacle: “If guns kill people, I suppose pencils misspell words, cars drive drunk, and spoons make people fat.” Okay, you’re right. You […]

Flushed Down The Toilet

by Gabe Berman According to the New York Times, Mitt Romney raised $881.8 million which, in turn, forced President Obama to drum up $934 million. And, according to the electoral college, Romney resembled Sonny Liston in his second fight against Muhammed Ali–knocked out cold. So, what have we learned? The GOP can’t pull the wool over America’s […]

Signs Of Romney

by Gabe Berman I was driving through a middle class neighborhood today and was shocked by what I saw sprouting from a few front lawns: Romney/Ryan campaign signs. I was instantly overcome by two questions: 1. Will I do serious jail time for absconding with said signs? 2. How can any levelheaded, middle class person […]

by Gabe Berman Do you disagree with President Obama’s politics? It’s a free country, so think what you want. But must you speak of him with such venom in your voice? Barack Obama is a good man. And deep down, you know this in your heart. You may think he’s unfit for the highest office, […]

by Gabe Berman What has he done so terribly wrong? It isn’t worth stating what he’s done right because The Right will slither to discredit it, but seriously, what’s so horrible? He’s been labeled un-American, a socialist and even a Nazi. But he didn’t cause the problems we’re facing, he’s just not alleviating the issues […]

by Gabe Berman Gabe is the author of Live Like A Fruit Fly As the governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney ruthlessly reformed the state’s health care which was used as the model for the Affordable Care Act – aka Obamacare. And how have the people in Massachusetts fared? Abysmally. The state is now bankrupt and […]

by Gabe Berman It won’t. The media needs something juicy to talk about, but let’s not kid ourselves.  We already know who we’re voting for. And although I go by “Gabe”, please use my legal name Gabriel when you write it in on the ballot.
